Countdown to LCM

Sibling AW15 LC:M

SIBLING A/W 2015 LC:M

London Collections : Men is  a collection of established and emerging designers that showcase their Menswear collections and introduce the What to Wear to a selected crowd of industry professionals.

This year Sibling brought us the colour PINK.. who doesn’t love pink?… well, maybe there awesome people out there that have some issues about the color choice but if it’s any consolation, only the strong can pull off the challenge.  Pink is a color that can not be Denied, one can not wear it if one is not confident enough, so this year we applaud the color selection because it makes it so we can see beyond the stereotypes and focus on what really matter.. Have some undeniable Fun, people!

Loud and Fast, Todd Lynn arrives

Loud and Fast, Todd Lynn arrives

Todd Lynn is back to his roots for his first show as part of London Collections: Men.  Back in September 2006, he debuted his androgynous razor -sharp tailoring on men and women.  Fast forward to January 2015 and he now offers men’s Autumn/Winter and women’s Pre-fall collection in unison, emphasizing the hedonistic interchangeability of his vision.

Courtney Love, an early supporter, exclaimed she felt like David Bowie in one of Lynn’s suits.  When the cut is right, you feel invincible, ten feet tall.  This designer is all about the cut, detail.   He honed his craft making bespoke stage wear for The Rolling Stones, Marilyn Manson and PJ Harvey before launching ready-to-wear.

” For this collection, I really started with the clothes. It’s not ovely concept-ed or titled,” Lynn says. “It’s just part of a development process.  I was thinking about my customer and how clothes impact their lives.  recently, I’ve been working on a lot of reversible elements and transformation, making the clothes work in different ways and being able to be styled differently.

Tuxedo pants wrap the leg like motocross leathers and pockets are guarded by chains.  There is a protective element to this season’s collection in electric green and blue, indigo, black, charcoal and khaki.  Military boots and sneakers by Christian Louboutin are stripped of their eyelets and laces, bound with crossover elastic instead.  The grandeur of military tailoring is alluded to in silk fringing running down the back of sleeves.
