Son Jung Wan Fall/Winter 2015

Saturday 14th was the day designer Son Jung Wan presented her fall collection at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center, NY. A mixture of glamour and a touch of romance were the key ingredients in the composition of this collection.

The inspiration for the collection was the MGM films of the 1950’s and the fashion photography of Gordon Parks. The collection could be described as retro-chic.

The fabrics consisted of merino wool and handcrafted knits in unusual color combinations.

Glamour and a retro vibe embodied this collection.

Metallics, leather and multi-colored furs helped to put together the romantic mood of a decadent era.

Vibrant orange wool coats, turquoise gaucho pants, voluminous skirts were among the looks presented. A sequined cocktailed dress was the showpiece emboding the ‘effortless evening look of the 50’s’

A selection of Menswear was also presented, some of the looks included cashmere and wool coats paired with rich colored trousers to compliment the women’s designs making it a cohesive line.
